Christian Nation? I think not.

I am on Facebook. One of the neat things I have found is the ability to join causes and become a fan of a subject, person, thing, idea, etc.

I am a fan of God. He isn’t on there, but you can still be His fan. I am a fan of the Bible too. Lots of people seem to be.

The other day, I got an invite to join the cause telling Obama we are still a Christian Nation. I didn’t join.

We haven’t been a Christian nation in well over a decade. Closer to two decades if I were to take a guess.

If this nation is a representative of Christian values, no wonder people are leaving the church in droves. We condone abortion, wide spread homosexuality, divorce, drug use, infidelity, a plethora of non-married couples, witchcraft. The list goes on and on. Not only is it condoned, it is glorified by the media.

Television shows are everywhere dealing with these subjects. The goal is to get everyone on board with the corruption of real Christian values by playing on the Christian shame. They ask us who are we to judge. Christians don’t judge, they just stand by their convictions and say something is wrong with it is wrong. Now we are vilified and persecuted for it. No biggie though, Jesus said it would happen and He doesn’t lie to us.

We just have to quit fooling ourselves into thinking this is a Christian nation. Anything but.

Bill Clinton over the weekend even agrees. In a speech to an Arab-American group that the U.S. is no longer dominated by Christians and a powerful Jewish minority.

Our leaders know it, so why are we so slow to recognize it as well?

From my research, I discovered that divorce was unheard of 100 years ago and it was something that hardly anyone ever did.

Years ago people knew what the Bible said.

“Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.” —Jesus Christ
    Luke 16:18

    Divorce + Remarriage = Adultery

We need to start speaking the truth in regards to the subject of divorce and spare families from such a trauma.

Every 45 seconds in the United States a family is torn apart by divorce.

“Let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.”
    Malachi 2:15

    “Thou shall not commit adultery.”

“The man who commits adultery is an utter fool, for he destroys his own soul.”
