Who Determines the Reality of Love?

I just saw an interesting comment today. It was “it’s not the giver who determines what is love, but the recipient”. I really think that is how people are starting to look at love.

This is from Merriam-Webster:

a : unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another: as (1) : the fatherly concern of God for humankind (2) : brotherly concern for others

If the act of love is not received as intended, the love itself is not negated. Instead the love is rejected as it does not embrace the recipients reality.

  1. This version has become outdated

  2. The definition is out dated?
